Action
How are the verses coming along?
This week, we dive into the New Testament and pick up a section that’s all about our attitudes.
A friend of mine told me that I have control over my attitude; feelings are information not instructions.
Food for thought…here’s week three’s verse(s):
12Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,
13bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
14And above all these things, put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
This doesn’t have to be hard. Practice it for a few minutes every day.
You got this.

Reflection
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Have you ever told yourself that you’re willing to do whatever God wants if he’d just make it clear to you?
We want to be able to see the open door as well as what’s beyond it before we walk through to the other side.
No matter how depressing it is in the hallway, no matter how long we may have been stuck, no matter how badly we want to get into action and move past our current circumstances, it often feels impossible to take even the first step forward.
It turns out God made us spiritually blind, though. We aren’t designed to see where we are going; it’s only through the many plush blessings of modern life that we’ve deceived ourselves into thinking that we ought to be able to scope things out before stepping forward in faith.
Faith, by definition, requires blindness.
God, what am I to do? What is your will for me?
Joy, prayer and gratitude form the grit that lifts me up out of myself.
God, help me remember you in the hallways.
