Degrees of grace

TRUTH
He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
Ephesians 2:17-18
REFLECTION

It is miraculous to me that so many different people find their way to recovery at so many different points in life and at so many different levels of suffering.
For some, the barrier to entry is low. Their threshold for pain and/or their spiritual receptivity brings them early.
For others, a lifetime passes before coming to grips with the need for change. They may be blind to it all, indignant, or apathetic.
And there are a hundred other levels in between. All are welcome. All can find recovery. All can do business with God.
