TRUTH

Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Joshua 1:9

REFLECTION

There's a paradox in feeling grounded.

Like a ship's anchor that prevents endless drifting, our connection to something greater than ourselves creates the stability we need to navigate life's storms.

When we resist this anchoring, believing it restricts our freedom, we become vulnerable to every shifting current. Our independence, cherished as it may be, can become the very thing that sets us adrift.

The courage mentioned in scripture isn't about facing life alone—it's about trusting in the presence of something greater. Understanding that true strength often comes wrapped in surrender.

In recovery, we discover that accountability and community aren't weights that hold us back, but anchors that allow us to weather storms that would otherwise destroy us.

Our anchor points—morning meditations, honest conversations, and moments of prayer—create the stability we need to explore life's depths without fear of being lost at sea.

What we once saw as constraints reveal themselves as the foundation of our liberation. In being held, we are set free.

God, help me embrace the anchors you've provided, understanding that in them lies my true freedom.
